Recover Data for NTFS is a data recovery tool for NTFS partitions on Windows systems. The UI is very simple and to start the recovery process you go through four steps.
In the first step you select the disk or image from which you want to recover data. In this view you can see all the disks and images that are attached to the computer, and also the information of the disk/image you have selected: physical disk number, model, media type, cylinder, head, sectors per track, and disk size.
In the second step you need to choose the partition you want to recover data from (only NTFS partitions will be shown). There is a detailed view of the partition: partition type, partition size, start sector, and end sector. In this step, you can also select to search a partition in exhaustive mode, in case the initial list is not complete.
The third step is the actual recovery process. Here the program displays the progress details: time elapsed, total size, directories found, files found, and last name. You can hide the progress details, pause/resume, or stop the scan.
The fourth step shows a window with the files and folders on the partition you have just recovered.
The program is very easy to use, fast, and intuitive. You can run it in the background while continuing your work because it uses very few resources.
